Snow Trails/Green Lakes: Wyoming 2022

The summer of 2022 saw two groups of 15 brave adventurers embark on a life-changing, 5-day expedition in the Northern Winds of Wyoming.

Starting in the majestic Titcomb Basin, we were greeted by an astonishing 4 feet of snow in the middle of July, a testament to the raw power and unpredictability of Allah’s creation.

As we trekked through the Green River Lakes area, we faced not only the physical challenges posed by the rugged terrain and frigid weather but also discovered the strength within ourselves and the unbreakable bonds we forged with our fellow travelers. Each day, we sought solace and guidance in our faith, engaging in daily dhikr, prayer, Qur’an recitation, and enlightening Islamic classes.

Through the trials and triumphs of this expedition, we emerged stronger, wiser, and more deeply connected to the beauty of the natural world and the profound depths of our Islamic heritage.
