Lander, WY
Jul 2—Jul 8, 2020
Amidst the global pandemic’s chaos, a tight-knit group of 7 backpackers embarked on and to the Wind River Range, seeking solace in the embrace of nature.
Setting out from the Big Sandy Trailhead, we charted a course that would lead us to the summit of Mt. Mitchell and the awe-inspiring Cirque of the Towers.
As we traversed the rugged terrain, we found comfort not only in the stunning landscapes that enveloped us but also in the daily practices of our Islamic faith. Through dhikr, prayer, Qur’an recitation, and enlightening classes, we strengthened our connection with Allah and each other, discovering a profound sense of peace and purpose in the face of the world’s uncertainty.
This intimate expedition served as a poignant reminder of the resilience of the human spirit and the unwavering support that our faith and fellow believers provide. It was a journey that transported us to the tranquil beauty of Wyoming’s wilderness and the depths of our own spiritual connection, offering a sanctuary from life’s storms and a renewed sense of hope and strength.
