Yow has spent 10 years leading wilderness backpacking trips throughout the Mountain West, Alaska, the Southwest, and the Utah canyonlands. He has worked as a NOLS Field Instructor and Program Manager since 2016, having been trained as a WEMT and an outdoor educator.

Yow takes joy in creating an adventurous and safe experience for participants of all skill levels, whether it’s a person’s first night sleeping under the stars or helping a seasoned hiker deepen their understanding of the place around them. Yow is excited to support others in honing their outdoor skills, share ecological knowledge, and continue to help grow the Tayseer Wilderness community.
